We just came back from the weekend shows on a boat that roamed up and down the hudson while we pressed and powered our way through "Hello Rockview" and "Losing Streak". The boat tilted and rocked ( in more ways than one ), bumped into the dock, had a small electrical fire, lights flickered but what better way than to see the Statue of Liberty as I set up my drums for the show. We kept on calling it a basement show on a boat and i think that accurately describes everything.
We sold out of the hand screened posters but have the limited shand numbered and signed life jackets going up in the merch store soon. LIFE JACKETS you heard right.
Right now we are headlong into writing some songs, a different vibe than "greetings from" but you know that's always a good thing. I always thought that the world didnt need "part 2" or "part 3" to any records we've done. If you havent heard "greetings from" you can pick up a free download of the song "Goodbye Mr Personality" for one tweet over in the webstore.
We are planning and scheming for next year and throwing in a few shows here and there, for now though i'll be drinking coffee and writing lyrics.
Thanks to everyone that came out to this summers Warped tour, we had a great time despite the heat and dirt. Buddy and Jr learned how to be bartenders and Chris learned how to lose his wallet nightly. Good times all around. Oh yeah Thanks Kevin Lyman for having usout on Warped Tour in the double digits now!
1) I can't yell any louder
When I look at the person in the mirror, I see the picture and it's clearer
An unshaved face that will always remain standing still, i'm running in one place
when I talk to myself about the future coming true
I tell myself, tonight is mine so hold my head up high
I'm never moving backwards, I don't think I can yell any louder
When I see my reflection in the mirror, I see a person that's disappeared
A strangers face, that's slowly changed, slightly worn but rearranged
when I talk to myself about the future coming true
I tell myself, tonight is mine so hold my head up high
I'm never moving backwards, I don't think I can yell any louder
2) Goodbye Mr Personality
So here's my history
Stacks of scraps torn out from magazines
And its hazardous to be
any part of my anatomy
Do you hear me, so loud and clearly - this is the last time you'll ever hear from me
Repeat these words now - who died and made you king?
Goodbye Mr Personality.
Before there was a we there was a I , Myself, and a me,
When I opened up my eyes I watched all of my problems divide
And multiply
Do you hear me, so loud and clearly - this is the last time you'll ever hear from me
Repeat these words now - who died and made you king of me?
Goodbye Mr Personality.
My chemistry combined, always helps me to describe
The person who's dug deep inside
the voices in my head keep me walking on the edge
Tell me this is the end.
Do you hear me, so loud and clearly - this is the last time you'll ever hear from me
Repeat these words with me - who died and made you king?
Goodbye Mr Personality.
3) Harvey Wallbanger.
We are recession royalty,
Taking adderal to stay awake and alcohol to fall asleep
Where bankrupt brothers charge a fee your bank account meets gravity.
falling backwards here's our last words
We're blowing up all the bars so everyone drinks for free
Hello Harvey Wallbanger, Saint jameison's right next to me
We're blowing up all the bars and everyone drinks for free on me
Thank you Harvey Wallbanger, Saint Jameison keeps helping me.
Your family tree is falling down
The future calls, you lose your house - three cheers for the down and out
Let's have a toast for living now, fly the flag for the proud who's Falling backwards Here's there last words
We're blowing up all the bars and everyone drinks for free
Hello Harvey Wallbanger, Saint jameison sit right next to me
We're blowing up all the bars and everyone drinks for free on me
Thank you Harvey Wallbanger, Saint Jameison keeps helping me.
We always keep free falling backwards, tongue tied, red eyed here's our last words
4) The Oldest trick in the Book
I wonder where I'll be at the end of the world?
I wonder how I'll get home?
I wonder how it feels to be on top of the world, with all the highs and lows
I wonder where I'll be at when this ceiling falls?
I wonder if I'll be stoned?
I wonder if theyll hear me past these four walls, and what theyll write On my headstone?
Is it true what doesn't kill you really makes you stronger?
is it true what's good for you makes you live longer?
who wants to live longer?
I'll change the world before I go
all I know.
I'll change the world before I go
That's all I know
I wonder where I'll be at the end of the world?
I wonder how I'll go?
I wonder if there ever will be an end to the war?
And will my friends come home?
I wonder if I'll ever be able to learn all the things I'm taught?
I wonder if it'll get me the credit I've earned it seems it's all I got.
If it's true what doesn't kill you really makes you stronger?
Then it's true what's good for you makes you live longer?
who wants to live longer?
You pick yourself up but you're still on the floor
You're feeling better but you can't find the cure
It's sad to say but I'm pretty sure
The oldest trick in the book
Doesnt work anymore
I'll change the world before I go
all I know.
5) Life Led Outloud
First let me get this off my chest
There's a few times I'd want to lose the map
Take it all back and forget.
now let me trace my younger days
My best mistakes where the ones I'd never trade,
Never fade or replace.
I'll drag the skeletons out, parade them all around town
Welcome to my life lived out loud
Throw all the secrets out, take the words from my mouth
Welcome to my life lived out loud.
The how's and why's of the "who am I ?"
They make me think I was invincible or invisible through my eyes
I never cared and was never scared
When The consequence and the punishment was all that's left
ringing in my ears
I'll drag the skeletons out, parade them all around town
Welcome to my life lived out loud
Throw all the secrets out, take the words from my mouth
Welcome to my life lived out loud.
